Malta’s leading multidisciplinary pain management centre — built around what works for chronic pain that conventional medicine alone can’t reach.
The Pain Clinic was established in 2015 by Dr Andrew Agius, who teamed up with an anaesthetist and a physiotherapist to create a one-stop-shop for patients suffering from chronic pain and other illnesses that hadn’t responded to conventional medication.
Chronic pain affects 20% of adults — a number that has grown sharply since the COVID-19 pandemic. People living with it often visit several professionals trying to find an answer, undergo numerous investigations and end up being told they must “learn to manage” their pain. We thought there was a better way.

Four principles that shape every plan we put together.
Doctors, anaesthetists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists and physiotherapists working together — your plan integrates every discipline you need.
Treatment options anchored in clinical evidence and current research — we keep up with what works and only offer what we trust.
Lifestyle, supplements and complementary therapies layered with conventional medicine — minimising side effects, maximising relief.
No two patients are the same. Every plan starts with a one-hour assessment and a written report you can take home.
